The West Hill Cafe has reopened.
The cafe serves coffee, toasties and ice cream. Open: Wed-Sun (08:00-16:00).
It is run by Troika (Joshua, Tad and Celia) who run the famous Bunka Pop-ups plus the Bun outlet at Heist, St Leonards-0n-sea.

17th July: New music pub in the America Ground
French’s is a new music pub opposite Barnaby’s. It has an in-house sound system for DJs and bands. The friendly owners are Danny & Seb. Expect great music and fab food on two floors.

12 July: New brunch cafe opening off Queens Road

Coffee-first brunch spot. Speciality coffee & home baked items. BBQ Brunch: Heritage breed bacon, south coast fish & seasonal plants. All smoked in-house & cooked over fire. Owners: Sean & Daniel.

1 May: New Modern British restaurant in George Street
Owner/manager: Jo Cosson & owner/chef: Lee Cosson (ex-Balfour/Gallivant) are opening a Modern British restaurant in a delightful C17 house in the Old Town next to the Thai. Expect Modern British classic like Rye Bay scallops, Ox Cheek and Guiness Pie, Aged Ribeye Steak & more.

29 March: New cafe/restaurant at Hastings Contemporary 
coquina is a new Mediterranean inspired restaurant and café with panoramic views. coquina is brought to you by the team behind Bayte in St Leonards, Ruby Boglione and Silvy Pilkington, along with chef Wil Hopson, formerly of Tillingham, Moro, Kricket and Carousel.

19 March: New set-menu restaurant opens in town centre.

Lury is a set menu-only restaurant that combines British and Sri Lankan influences. It is run by husband and wife duo Jack Lury and Issy Cianchi. Jack is a Michelin trained chef who has worked at some of the country’s top restaurants followed by an extensive career as a private chef cooking for A-list celebrities, heads of state & members of the Royal Family. After a series of pop-ups in South East London he is opening his own restaurant.
