About Us
Nigel Hogan is editor/owner of The South London & South Coast Guides. His background is in retail management staring with The Bookplace in Peckham, then central London shops moving on to managing the BBC Shop and introducing a global BBC Mail Order catalogue based at Bush House, Aldwych.
In 1999 he moved online & established his first South London guide with The Camberwell Guide. In 2003 he began to work with an experienced web-designer which enabled him to produce detailed & illustrated guides. These attracted the attention of Tate Modern who used the South London Guide for outreach purposes in their early days. In 2010 the South London Guide began to work with Transport for London promoting the new London Overground via TfL banners.
In 2009 he established his first South Coast Guide, the Eastbourne Guide. It promoted Eastbourne’s new Towner Art Gallery. Two years later The Margate Guide was launched with the new Turner Contemporary supplying a banner. In 2024 the South Coast Guide launched it first in-depth resort guide with The Hastings Guide. |
