12th April: Record Store Day UK (18th year)
was conceived in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners and employees as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding independently owned record stores in the US and thousands of similar stores internationally.

March: The London Eye is 25 years old
From a millennium landmark to a timeless icon celebrating 25 years of the London Eye, this observation wheel has transformed London’s skyline. Designed by David Marks (1952-2017) and Julia Barfield.

Greek basement bar opens in Borough Market          
Agora, modelled after a relaxed Greek taverna (walk-in only), has opened in Borough market. Upstairs is Oma, a more formal restaurant. Both are run by David Carter of Manteca fame.
